Two words that unfortunately have largely lost their meaning when it comes to providing service today. What is “Honesty”? It’s defined as, “Truthfulness, frankness, sincerity.” That means when you talk to us about your challenges with plumbing problems, you’ll get the truth and it will be explained frankly, and you’ll be given options.

Sincerity has to be experienced, so give us a chance to show you how sincere we are and how that honesty has kept us in business continuously for 90 years. Companies don’t last that long without being honest!

Integrity? It means “Adherence to moral and ethical principles.” How do we prove integrity? Ask anyone who has been a customer of Swan Plumbing over these 90 years. Our family’s moral and ethical principles are the groundwork that’s been instilled in us since Grandpa Floyd P. Swan started the business in 1921!

We believe integrity cannot be compromised by others, one has to choose to give it away. Once it’s surrendered, it’s gone. The Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments…. pretty good guides.

No matter what problem you may be encountering in your home, call on Swan Plumbing & Heating. With Paul Swan’s 43 years of experience from our location on Broadview Rd. in Richfield, there’s not a problem that we can’t help you with!

If it’s something we don’t do directly, other than plumbing, hot water heating, water systems and treatment, we know of someone to refer you to that will help. We’ve always told our customers, "If you need anything, call us first. If we can’t help directly we can refer you to trustworthy, dependable people to solve your problem".

We have electricians, carpenters, excavators, tile installers; you name it and we have contacts to help you. Nobody can be an expert at everything, so we’ve simply surrounded ourselves with good people to do the things we don’t specialize in.

Ultimately, you are the winner. Don’t play yellow page or website tag trying to find a good reliable company. Start with Swan Plumbing, and if we can’t do it, we’ll know of someone who can. After all, isn’t that what you’re truly looking for?

Yes, that’s right Swan Plumbing has been in business for 90 years! Grandpa Floyd P. Swan started the business in 1921, and for all the years since, our family has always been about service. Floyd was Richfield’s Fire Chief for 26 years, his son, Kenneth P. Swan was Richfield’s first Mayor, served as a Township Trustee for several years, was the first Commander of the local Amvets.

I’m Paul K. Swan, Ken’s son and the third generation serving your needs. My daughter Kirsten is the secretary and our Fourth Generation. I’ve been president of the Akron PHCC (Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors) twice, the president of the Ohio PHCC, was chairman of the first Richfield Village/Township Merger Commission. And on and on it goes!

Again, we are ALL ABOUT SERVICE to our Community and to our customers. During the lean years Grandpa Floyd sold radios, Gravely tractors, and even worked on constructing windmills for some of the local farmers when electricity wasn’t available for pumping their water on the farm.

When times got tough again in the early 1980′s Ken and my Mom Evelyn started a company called "Alternative Heating". We sold and installed wood and coal fired boilers and add on furnaces, dabbled in solar and wind generation. On the cutting edge once again, and ahead of their time. We’re very proud of our heritage, and the continuous service we’ve provided to the local area over all these years.

To use a company that has been in operation continuously in the same location, Grandpa started in a barn less than 1/2 mile from our current shop is quite unique. He built the shop in 1948 and their house in 1954 right here at 3874 Broadview Road. You’ve probably seen our sign since we are the first driveway South of the Richfield Post Office.

What does all this mean? Commitment, dependability, honesty and integrity. A company doesn’t stay in business for four generations, in the same location without doing many things well and taking care of our customers! You can rest assured when you use Swan Plumbing for your plumbing, water systems, and hydronic heating needs. We’re here to serve YOU!
